Move-in of the furniture for this mountain designed home in the ski resort of Mammoth Lakes is not going to be until October, but the advantage of receiving the furniture now is that mistakes can be dealt with and by the time the furniture is installed, and all should be right with the world. I think it could be overwhelming, but the client just loves texture. Drywall is not a favored surface. Although the windows are very large and take up the entire wall, because the view mainly focuses on just the trees, the house feels very inwardly oriented. I primarily use such shots for my portfolio and we have many wonderful images of previous work framed and hung throughout our office. I have a couple of photographers that I work with and [...] The carpenters are taking care of the last details this week. They are installing the door and cabinet hardware and hanging all of the bathroom mirrors, so I am making frequent trips to check that placement is correct. We chose to use framed mirrors for almost the entire house. In several baths, I chose the moulding [...] I took a quick inpirational trip to Yosemite Valley this weekend, which is about 2 1/2 hours away. I stayed at the Ahwahnee Hotel and took about a hundred pictures of the painting, woodwork and many details. I even did some shopping for the Baumers.
