A Vision Brought to Life with Sophisticated Interior Design

Teri and Patrik’s fond memories of time spent in Mammoth Lakes led them to the first step in creating their own sanctuary; they purchased a townhome here.

Client's Vision: "We purchased a newer Townhome in Mammoth, but it didn’t look the way I wanted it, and I was ready to completely remodel it... I wanted someone capable of doing everything – from the new design for the remodel to coordinating with contractors and placing the furniture for a turnkey solution."

When we do a remodel for a client, we examine the aesthetic of the entire project. Band-aids are never a good idea. We start reimagining everything with the client’s vision in mind. Sometimes their vision evolves during this process. Teri and Patrik were surprised to discover that they wanted something at the very lightest end of the spectrum.

One of the biggest hurdles in remodeling can often be the timing and availability of reliable contractors. At Brown Design Group, we pride ourselves on meticulous planning and coordination. For this project, we took the initiative to measure and redesign the space comprehensively, from sleek flooring to modern lighting and elegant plumbing finishes. The transformation included a complete redesign of the main floor to enhance openness and flow. Since the client did not need the dedicated dining area, we were able to integrate that space into the kitchen. A new floating kitchen island created a luxurious and calming effect.

Next on the client’s wish list was an ensuite retreat. By removing the tortured bunk room on the third floor and incorporating the space with the primary bathroom the dream was delivered.

Because we had all of the design done, we ensured that as soon as a slot with a trusted contractor opened up, construction could proceed without delay.

The Result: A Fresh, Airy Mountain Retreat

The outcome? A once-dark townhome is now a light-filled mountain retreat. Our clients are thrilled with their new space, which now reflects the beauty and tranquility of its surroundings.
